April 2023 Update

These past few months have been quite exciting, and we are thrilled to update you with what has been happening at Hope Northwest Church since our last correspondence.

Between raindrops and snow flurries, we continue to integrate ourselves into the life of our new community as we become more familiar with the Northwest, it’s neighborhoods, shopping areas, weather and people.

Jessica, Nick and Zion have knocked on almost 250 doors throughout our neighborhood, using each weekend to meet our neighbors. On February 19th, we started our first Sunday Morning Home Church Service. We were joined by three of our neighbors. Since then, we have had at least one new visitor each couple of weeks. And by God’s grace, all have returned each Sunday. We continue to grow and recently celebrated Easter Service and lunch with 15 members of our “new family.”

We’ve also started our Saturday Morning Men’s Group and Wednesday Evening Women’s Group. We currently have six men attending the Men’s Group and the six women in the Women’s Group. Our hope is that each of these men will be our first MiniChurch Shepherds.

Unfortunately, Nick is having foot issues and after getting an X-ray, was diagnosed with a fractured sesamoid bone in his foot. He’s currently wearing a special boot and must stay off his feet. This is a rather unfortunate setback since the gym, basketball, and walking the neighborhood were his primary ways of meeting people. Please pray God gives us new insight and vision to getting the Word out and inviting people.

Dale is now volunteering at the Clark County Foodbank. They placed him in the warehouse pulling pallets of product. We’re still trying to figure that one out. He’s now seeing the inventory/distribution side of how the foodbanks get their supply up here. The County Foodbank distributes to over 80 community foodbanks and schools. This will prove very helpful when we’re ready to become one of the community foodbank distributors ourselves.

Please continue to pray for us. Hopefully, we’re moving out of the raining/snowy season and into a warmer Spring. We look forward to spending more time outdoors and getting to know more people.

May God continue to bless all of you. We thank you for your generous support and prayers and look forward to the day when we can share in person all that God is doing through us in the Pacific Northwest.

If you’d like to continue to financially bless our ministry, please vist hopenorthwest.org/give. We now have a giving portal where you can support us directly as well as through our Hope Chapel Designated Fund.

God Bless,

Nick, Jessica Zion, Stephanie, and Dale
